Tips on How to Make No Bake Oatmeal Cookies

  • If you don’t like the taste or texture of peanuts in your no bake oatmeal cookies, there are a lot of things you can substitute. If you don’t like peanut butter, you can substitute them with cashew or almond butter.
  • When your no bake oatmeal cookies didn’t set accordingly or didn’t harden, the problem is with the boiling process. You need to boil the mixture for as long as it will not burn. It may require a lot of trial and practice to achieve that perfect chewy texture.
  • If you cannot boil your cookie mix again but you still wish for it to harden, you may also try storing them up in the freezer and letting them rest for around 20 to 30 minutes.
  • You may add a sprinkle of vanilla extract or any additive that may improve the overall taste of your homemade oatmeal cookies.
  • Never boil for too long. It only takes roughly a minute or so for the mixture to infuse well together. Boiling your ingredients for far too long may lead to your cookies tasting like a burning baked product. Always keep an eye on the recipe you are boiling.
  • One of the best things about learning how to make no bake oatmeal cookies is they can also be stored for days. As long as you keep them refrigerated, they will be good to munch on for a week or two.
  • Whenever you drop your oats onto the mixture, you should drop one cup at a time. Never go ham when dumping the entire oats. Dumping oats by a cup means you get to infuse all the oats whenever you stir them. Dumping all the oats directly may give you a harder time to stir.

Conclusion

Oatmeal cookies are a favorite for everyone. Not only it requires no expertise, but the ingredients you need when making one is just around the corner. It’s just a matter of practice, and when you master it, your baking experience will be easier.
