How To Clean Pampered Chef Stoneware – Useful Steps To Follow

A pampered chef stoneware is every chef’s main weapon for baking and cooking various types of dishes. Learning how to clean pampered chef stoneware improves the overall outcome of every dish and pastries and gives each piece a long and durable year of baking and cooking.

Cooking on a pampered chef stoneware has been the norm for years now. They are incredibly easy to use, beginner-friendly, and last a lifetime if cared for properly. So, if you happen to have one and are looking for ways to extend the pampered chef stoneware, read further down below for some quick and easy guidelines.

Why Use Pampered Chef Stoneware

There are various reasons why the pampered chef is so popular among cooks and chefs. Here are some:

They are toxic-free

As long as they are made with clay materials, then that is lead-free. One of the good things about clay products is that they can be used in high temperatures and causes no concerns for the owners. It also doesn’t pose any threat to food being cooked in there.

The stoneware dissipates heat evenly

One of the reasons why you need to know how to clean pampered chef stoneware is because it dissipates heat evenly, and the food is baked evenly. However, it also maintains heat, making it a great attribute for keeping food heated for a relatively good amount of time.

To remain durable and long-lasting

Long-lasting and sturdy, stoneware tends to last long like other iron skillets. So when you learn how to clean pampered chef stoneware, it extends their life for a considerable amount of time, making it one of your best purchases.

How to Clean Pampered Chef Stoneware

When it comes to cleaning and caring for your pampered chef stoneware products, the one thing to keep in mind is to never use soap. Although it may seem unusual, the soap causally strips the stoneware with its non-stick properties, much like the iron skillet.

To clean, let the stoneware cool down around room temperature. Furthermore, pampered chef stoneware shouldn’t be washed in a dishwasher. Always remember that stoneware should be washed and cleaned by hand and nothing more.

If there is dirt, grime, or leftover food on the surface of the stoneware, it is best to use nylon pan scrapers as it is more gentle on these surfaces.

Five Easy Steps to Deep Clean Pampered Chef Stoneware with Food Buildup

If you have quite the buildup of food in your stoneware, it is best to clean it deep before using it again. Here are the steps:

  • Allow your stoneware to cool down at room temperature
  • As mentioned, the best way to scrape food build-up in your stoneware is to use nylon scrapers to prevent scraping off the nonstick surface.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, prepare 3tbps of water and half a cup of baking soda. Let the mixture dissolve. Once the mixture is done, spread it onto the surface of the stoneware and let it rest for around 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Scrape off any remaining pastes on the surface and let flowing warm water run through the surface to remove excess paste and other particles.
  • If you noticed that this method affected the seasoned surface of the stoneware, just re-season it again.

Tips and Tricks to Prevent Degradation of Pampered Chef Stoneware

Did you know that you can prevent sudden degradation of your pampered chef stoneware? If not, here are some tips and tricks in doing so:

  • One of the easiest methods to degrade your pampered chef stoneware is putting it directly on the water while it is still hot. Always remember to let your pampered chef stoneware cool down at room temperature before placing it in the water.
  • Pampered chef stoneware can only go for about 450F. If used on higher temperature levels, it can lead to cracks and breaks around the stoneware. Be sure to bake and cook that will not exceed the allowable heat-resistant temperature.
  • As much as possible, avoid stacking your pampered chef stoneware in one sitting. If the area is stable and has a good foundation, just stack them around 2 to 3 pieces, don’t exceed, or else you risk breaking them if one stoneware falls.
  • When a stoneware is chipped, do not risk using it again. It will only develop more chipped surfaces in the process, leaving you with a damaged stoneware. Always go for stoneware that is good and doesn’t have any chipped parts on them.

Learning How To Season your Stoneware

If you happen to buy new stoneware for your everyday baking needs, the first thing to do is rinse it in lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel. After that, brush a light coat of either lard or coconut oil. Both of these are rich in fat content and can accommodate high temperatures.

Much like with iron skillets, the best method to season your newly purchased stoneware is by baking recipes that have a relatively high-fat content. It is because the fat content tends to develop around the baking surface of the stoneware, thus, preventing food from sticking to it.

As stoneware is used over and over again, it will develop a nonstick surface. Don’t worry about the colors changing. It is a good thing if you ask me. When a stoneware’s surface turns to a darkish hue, it is an indication that the stoneware is well-seasoned and is good to go.

Conclusion

When buying different kinds of stoneware, it is important as a user to know the means and ways on how to deal with these kinds of products. Luckily, we’ve listed down ways on how to clean pampered chef stoneware and provided instructions on how to season it as well.

Lastly, baking is a perfect time to relieve stress and anxiety, and nothing feels greater than baking with high-quality stoneware that gets the job done with ease and perfection.
